The structure consists of two thinner outer panels (referred to as skins) and a thicker polyurethane core material (the middle layer).

Surface layer: It is typically made of metal sheet materials (such as galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.). These surface layers not only provide mechanical protection but also enhance the appearance and functionality of the panel.

Core Material: The core material is made of polyurethane (which can also be replaced according to your requirements). The main function of the polyurethane core material is to provide thermal insulation and sound insulation properties. Depending on requirements, core materials with fire ratings can be selected to enhance the overall rigidity and stability of the board.

Due to its excellent performance, such as fire resistance, thermal insulation, waterproofing, and high strength-to-weight ratio, sandwich panels are widely used in various industries.

The fire rating of polyurethane sandwich panels is divided into:

Grade A: It is a non-combustible material that does not produce flames under open fire, has low smoke density, and will not melt or drip due to high temperature.

B1 level: It belongs to non-flammable materials, which burn slowly when exposed to open flames and can self-extinguish after leaving the flame, without producing large amounts of toxic smoke and debris. To achieve A level, special processing is required, as pure polyurethane materials are difficult to achieve A level.

B2 level: It belongs to flammable materials, possessing a certain degree of combustibility, but its burning speed is relatively slow, and both flame spread and smoke production are within a controllable range.

B3 level: It belongs to flammable materials, which will burn rapidly when exposed to open flames, with the flame spreading quickly and producing a large amount of toxic smoke and drippings after melting.
