Effective Disinfection Strategies For Clean Rooms

Common disinfection methods in clean rooms

(1) UV lamp disinfection and sterilization

UV lamp disinfection is a common disinfection method that destroys the DNA structure of microorganisms by emitting ultraviolet light, thereby achieving the purpose of sterilization and disinfection. However, ultraviolet lamp disinfection has certain limitations, such as only being able to disinfect the area directly irradiated, and the effect on the obstructed area is not good.

(2) Ozone disinfection

Ozone has strong oxidizing properties and can quickly kill microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Ozone disinfection has the characteristics of high efficiency and broad spectrum, and there is no residue after disinfection, which is environmentally friendly. But ozone has a certain degree of irritation to the human body, and it is necessary to ensure personnel evacuation during the disinfection process.

(3) Gas sterilization

Disinfectants include a mixture of formaldehyde, ethylene oxide, peracetic acid, bicarbonate, and lactic acid. These gas disinfectants can penetrate into various objects and spaces, comprehensively killing microorganisms. However, gas sterilization requires strict operating procedures and safety measures to prevent harm to human health and the environment.

(4) Disinfectant

Common disinfectants include isopropanol (75%), ethanol (75%), glutaraldehyde, Jier Mie, etc. These disinfectants can be directly wiped or sprayed on the surface of objects to disinfect specific areas. However, when using disinfectants, attention should be paid to the concentration and usage method to avoid damaging the items or affecting the disinfection effect.

In addition, some new disinfection methods are constantly developing and being applied. For example, plasma disinfection technology uses active particles in plasma to kill microorganisms, which has the characteristics of high efficiency, speed, and no residue. There are also some photocatalytic disinfection technologies that use strong oxidizing substances generated by photocatalysts under light to disinfect, which have the advantages of energy conservation and environmental protection.

When choosing a disinfection method, it is necessary to consider the specific situation and requirements of the clean room comprehensively. Different disinfection methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. The most suitable disinfection method should be selected based on the actual situation, and the operation procedures should be strictly followed to ensure the disinfection effect and safety.
