People who work in cleanrooms are required to undergo regular training in contamination control theory. They enter and exit the cleanroom through airlocks, air showers, and/or changing rooms, where they must wear specially designed clothing that covers their skin and the natural contaminants of their bodies.
Depending on the classification or function of the cleanroom, the clothing worn by staff may only require lab coats and hoods for minimal protection, or it may be a full-body suit that completely covers them and does not expose any skin.
Cleanroom clothing is used to prevent particles and/or microorganisms from being released from the wearer's body and contaminating the environment. Cleanroom clothing itself must not release particles or fibers to prevent contaminating the environment. This type of personnel contamination can reduce the performance of products in semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, and it can lead to cross-infections between medical personnel and patients in the healthcare industry.

Cleanroom protective equipment includes protective clothing, boots, shoes, aprons, beard covers, round hats, masks, lab coats/experimental clothing, gowns, gloves, finger cots, sleeve covers, and shoe/boot covers. The type of cleanroom clothing used should reflect the cleanliness level of the cleanroom and the product category. Low-level cleanrooms may require special shoes with completely smooth soles that will not pick up dust or dirt. However, considering safety reasons, the soles cannot cause slipping hazards. Wearing cleanroom clothing is usually required when entering a cleanroom. In a 10,000-level cleanroom, simple lab coats, hoods, and shoe covers can be used. For a 100-level cleanroom, a full-body suit with a zipper, goggles, a mask, gloves, and boot covers is required.
In addition, the number of people in the cleanroom should be controlled, with an average of 4-6m²/person. Operations should be carried out gently, avoiding large and rapid movements. At the same time, staff in the cleanroom should maintain good personal hygiene habits, washing their hands frequently, not wearing make
